ABOUT YOUNG COUPLES' APOSTOLATE
Exemplary families are the torch bearers of the church tomorrow. Young Couples’ Apostolate (YCA) is one of the important commissions of the diocese of Mandya. Membership is awarded to sacramentally married couples only, not to individuals. All those married couples in the parish who have not completed their 10th wedding anniversary are expected and requested to avail the YCA membership. The commission aims to support couples in their initial years of marriage and provide the necessary guidance to face the hurdles trusting in the divine providence.
In our parish the Young Couples’ Apostolate was initially inaugurated on 12 December 2021. St.Gianna Molla is the heavenly patroness of the Young Couples’ Apostolate. R.E.S.P.E.C.T is the abbreviated form of the core values of YCA, when expanded it stands for Respect Equality Sincerity Positivity Empathy Constancy Teamwork.
Our Vision
To be the foremost fellowship of young couples by delivering the most effective pastoral care, social sharing and building a helping community amongst themselves for the various types of families and realize their call to holiness.
Our Motto
Fellowship of young couples, social bonding of individuals to improve the quality of family life from the very early stage and promote model couples who live and preach the gospel to families (Mark 16:15)
Our Mission
To refresh and repair family relationships, in Jesus Christ, relying on the high potential of the sacramentally married couples, the spiritual leadership of priests, and the catholic principles of marriage and the family.
Activities
1. Train the young couples and organize an awareness programme on model parenting, child education, prolife, etc.
2. Motivate young couples on their marital duties and obligations through sharing and supporting each other in the community.
3. Extend necessary medical support and general guidance on motherhood through suitable experts on ethical and moral advice regarding delivery
