ABOUT HOLY CHILDHOOD
Holy Childhood popularly known as Thirubala sakhyam in Kerala is an association of children who are yet to receive their First Holy Communion. All Catechism students from Nursery till grade 4th are a part of this Association. It is an organization set up to mould the spiritual life of growing children and instill wisdom and Christian values in them so that they grow as valuable children for the family, the Church, the society and God.
Origin of the Association
The Holy Childhood was established in 1843. Charles de Forbin-Janson, the Bishop of Nancy, in France, established the Society of the Holy Childhood.
Mission: Moulding the lives of our children through work and worship.
Vision: To become Heaven's Own Little Disciple (HOLD)
Aim:
• To bring the little children together for prayer and other activities on selected Sundays prior to Holy Mass
• Helping to spread the Good News through the children's deeds
• To encourage Children to share their faith with other children through their prayers, personal sacrifices, financial and material offerings
Motto: Hand in hand with Infant Jesus
Slogan: Jesus is my King.
